General description

Kept on where previous generations left off. It wasn't bust so Renault didn't change it much.

Remains on sale as 'Clio Campus' for a while now that the new Clio has got bigger and the Twingo has been introduced as the smallest, but not cheapest, Renault.

Renault even thought it worth fitting new bumpers for the 2007 Model Year, so there's life in the old dog yet.

Things to look for when buying one

That a Renault dealer has inspected the bonnet catch to see that it's safe !

Better than average for reliabilty and better built than previous Clios.

The good bits

Economical, rides well and good NCAP score helped by lots of safety kit.

The cheapest new Renault you can buy.

The not so good bits

Nose job didn't improve looks.

Looks not improved by bonnet flying up and smashing into windscreen.....
