General description

Citroen's replacement for the long-lasting Saxo which was a bit of a hit with younger drivers. The C2 tries very hard to be appealing but doesn't quite manage it.

'Stop & Start' model has a clever starter-motor to save you fuel in traffic and automatically re-starting the engine when you need it but is 1 insurance group higher than the same car without it. Why ?

About to be replaced by more stylish 3-door version of the new C3.

Things to look for when buying one

The 'once-they're-gone-they're-gone' sale at your local Citroen dealer.

Fragile interiors, as usual.

The good bits

Middle of Citroen's 3 small cars. Citroen have sold on value for a while now which meens keen prices new and keener prices second hand.

Not outstanding for anything except value but good all round.

The not so good bits

Manages to look like it's been made entirely out of plastic.
