General description
Mazda have managed to do something very unusual with their small family car - they've made it lighter than the one it replaces and that makes it the lightest in the class, though it is a little smaller than some which helps too.
Things to look for when buying one
A dealer who'll give you discount while it's still this new. It'll happen though.
The 'Kermit' green launch colour is a bit bright.
The good bits
It's really light and as a result economical. Good performance from a 1.3 litre petrol engine; 1.5 is even better
Handles well and scored the full 5-stars in the EuroNCAP crash test.
The not so good bits
Ride a bit on the harsh side, not the biggest on the inside and some of the interior plastics are a bit hard.
