What ur1stcar say about this car

The good bits
It still handles like the original.

Now comes with a dose of quailty to the interior and a little bit more space too.

The entry level Studio is insurance group 1 - the lowest there is. The Style and Zetec are in groups 2 and 3 respectively.

The not so good bits
Loses a lot of the original's cheeky character in the exterior stying and the interior is far to similar to that of the 500.

The basic spec is rather mean and Ford are still charging an extra £400 for ESP (Electronic Stability Programme) on all derivatives at the moment.

General description
After 12 years Ford have got 'round to replacing the original Ka - that's about the time most models have been replaced once or twice.

To keep development costs down, Ford have taken the Fiat Panda/500 platform and turned it into the new Ka. That means it's modern, much safer and now comes with a diesel option (an engine is also shared with the Vauxhall Corsa, funnily enough) in the top-line Zetec.

Sort of more grown up really....and less fun.

Things to look for when buying one
Somebody who's paid out good money for one of the highly individual 'Individual' packs - the names 'Grand Prix', 'Digital' & ' Tattoo' only tell you part of the story....

It's not a great time to be launching a new car as many people's wallets and purses are firmly shut, so you should be able to interest a dealer in a discount.

Don't get sucked into buying too many expensive options. This is meant to be a cheap car.
