What ur1stcar say about this car
The good bits
Much the same as the previous model, so that's funky, fun and ultra-reliable, just a bit bigger inside and out.
The not so good bits
Not much really other than they're pricey new but they hold their value well so you won't lose as much as some others you might buy.
General description
Like many models following a sales success, this one is a bit bigger than the outgoing model but otherwise quite similar.
1.3 litre petrol engine gets 'Stop & Start' technology for 2010 to make in more economical in urban driving.
Things to look for when buying one
It’s a Toyota....it'll be reliable but if you're buying second-hand, make sure it's had the new accelerator pedal fitted following the recent recall.
Toyota will still want you to pay £350 for the option of VSC (Vehicle Stability Control). If EuroNCAP tested the Yaris now it would only give it 4 stars, not the maximum 5, because VSC is only an option.
